Shivalik Public School Mohali Rejoices Its Annual Prize Distribution Function
Shivalik Public School ,Mohali once again wore a festive look .The reason was quite obvious -Annual cultural Fiestas 2015 of Shivalik Public School, Phase VI, Mohali, based on the themes ‘Colours of Life’ and ‘Spectrum’ depicting the different moods of life . They were held in the state of art, the school auditorium . In both the functions the spacious school auditorium spruced up for the occasion resembled a bee hive humming with activity. Honourable Director of the school, Mr D S Bedi graced the occasions with his auspicious presence and this filled every student with pride. On arrival, he was greeted by the school faculty who recited the inspirational school shabad’ Deh Shiva Bar Mohe Ihe’ in their melodious voices. He was presented a bouquet of flowers .
The students of Shivalik Public School, Mohali left the students spellbound with their enthralling performances Shivalikians started with meticulous performance of ‘ Sarasvati Vandana’ along with paying obeisance to the motherland . This was applauded by one and all. The annual report , well supported with the PPT, highlighted the achievements of the school which amply demonstrated how Shivalik Public School, Mohali continues to be the centre of excellence year after year. This was followed by the thrilling and power packed performances by talented performers of the Shivalikians who took the audience by surprise.
In both the functions,the students took the audience to their yesteryears showcasing three skits in Hindi, Punjabi and English flawlessly and imaginatively close to the traditional the real life issues in the form of enactment . Each was followed by scintillating carnival of dances, group song, poetic recitations and theme based choreographies showcasing precise, weightless acrobatic movements done by the students.
The cultural fiesta was followed by the prize distribution for those meritorious students , who had distinguished themselves in academics, sports, cultural or co-curricular activities. They received prizes from the chief guest. In addition,14 Achievers were decorated with special awards and cash prizes to encourage them to continue their excellence. The Director of the school ,Mr DS Bedi had a word of praise for the prize-winners. He also appreciated the talent exhibited by the students participating in the variety entertainment and wished them success.
After the prize distribution was over, it was once again time for some more entertainment. The precision with which the Malwai giddha was showcased, spoke volumes of the pains taking efforts put in by the school faculty in preparing the performers. The end of the functions were marked with everyone standing up to sing the National Anthem.
