How many years have you been married? Are have you ever been married? Is this your first, second, third, or 10th marriage? Or are you just living as married for awhile? We live in a society today that does not seem to really value long term commitments or the sanctity of marriage. Many seem to believe or think it is okay to live together until something or someone better comes along. Morals have flown out the window and trying on people has become as bad as trying on clothing and shucking them off just as fast and discarding people like a worn out pair of shoes.
How sad. Many feel the bible has little or no value and is a fairy-tale. Yet if one reads it and follows it the bible is a human instruction manual in how to treat one another and things not to do. Oh yes it is moralistic.
The commandments however some want to pick and choose which to keep and which they can sort of shrug off. Like lying. “I just told a little white lie, who will that hurt?” Answer you for one a lie is a lie is a lie. Coveting things others have and especially someone else s husband, wife, daughter, son. Has become the norm. Which of course leads to adultery or fornication. There is a lot of both going on in today’s world. Hollywood is rampant with it. So is the casino world and the world in general.
Marriage is forever
Teenagers think they have a “RIGHT” to have sex and change partners every couple of weeks or months. Then people wonder why we have STD’s and unwanted pregnancy. Both result in people bed hopping due to lust and not using protection in the heat of the moment and women decide “it’s my body” so I can get rid of the child. Yes child, a living growing human being. A gift from God. They choose to abort because they did not take the time to use precaution. Plus teenagers should NOT be engaging in sexual acts period. Engaging is sex is NOT a God given nor even a Legal right for anyone under 18 at least in the USA.
Teenagers are not mentally, physically or emotionally ready nor financially ready for sex and social or moral consequences. They do it for pleasure which is no more right than stealing from a store or bullying someone. Sex is way more than pleasure and feeling good. It sets your mind and can harm you emotionally for the relationship that should be with you one and only.
Any woman who has been raped can tell you the deep emotional scars she bears and how it does affect future relationships. Especially if her partner is jealous and not compassionate or understanding. The same happens even in consensual sex however with multiple partners. Having multiple partners also causes deep emotional damage.
However marriage is an institution that should not be taken lightly but with a good look at the future. It should last a life time with one and only one partner. There should be not thought of divorce or later breaking up. People should look deep inside themselves and examine their own values, morals, beliefs first and what they seriously want. Then look closely at potential prospective mates. Where do you find such mates? Depends on your lifestyle. Your interests, your values and beliefs
You won’t find them in bars or strip clubs, and rarely on dating sites where people are there for a hook up or good time. Maybe in a gym, church, college, work place and at church. Oh yes we have churches where people go to church on Sunday and party hardy the rest of the week. Sinner’s belong in church, I can sooth my concisene by going to church and confessing I was bad girl or boy.
After all I do believe in or on Jesus and doesn’t the bible say “once saved, always saved”? Jas 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
Jas 2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Translation to modern day language you can believe on Christ and God, so does Satan and the demons. They are not saved for their belief nor will you be.
The bible is full of scripture of those who are told not to commit adultery and fornication, lying, cheating, being intoxicated and much more in many places. “Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these: Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” Galatians 5:19-23.
The truth is people can lose their crown of salvation. The truth is even the demons believe in Christ and they are NOT saved. “For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins.” Hebrews 10:26.

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;” 1 Timothy 4:1.
We are NOT saved when we sin. We are not forgiven for deliberate sin. When we accept Christ he expects us to turn around and NOT deliberately go back into sin. As humans we will mess up and sin but when we choose to on purpose do so we are NOT saved. Plotting and planning a murder, or bank robbery and carrying it out will NOT get you saved no matter what some church clergy tell you. Nor will deliberate sexual fornication, adultery and choosing to commit acts of sexual sin.
2Ti 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2Ti 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
2Ti 3:3 Without natural affection, truce-breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despiser’s of those that are good,
2Ti 3:4 Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
2Ti 3:6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
2Ti 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
2Ti 3:8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
Recently two of my granddaughters took on a vow of purity to keep themselves pure until marriage to not have sexual relations with ANYONE until God brings into their life the right husband. My husband and I got married 46 years ago April 20th and we just celebrated our anniversary a couple weeks ago. We have not had any other marriage or person. We are looking forward to our 50th in 4 years. We have seen multiple marriages fail. Mostly due to immoral behavior of one or both partners
Marriage partners for life .
Even then is that a reason for divorce? While the bible says because of the hardness of the heart men and women divorce. Matthew 19:8 Chirst said unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts allowed you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. This does not mean Christ sanctioned divorce he said MOSES did it was Moses not God’s law that did this. Better to forgive, get counseling and work things out. Stay together and yes forsake all others. It is not a sanction to go out and trade in one husband or wife for another.
There are reasons, one being in a very violent abusive relationship where the partner refuses help and has done physical, mental, emotional harm. These people are not content to dwell. You do not have to stay in a relationship with them, Especially if your are a child of God. Should you re-marry. You should counsel and get bible instruction and follow your conciense on that and examine your heart and pray about it. Marriage should be forever and can be when couples make an effort to work at and put Christ as the head of your marriage. http://www.godswork.org/inpoem47.htm
