Trusting God
Have you ever wondered why it’s so hard to trust God when he promises to give you everything that you need? I often wonder if it’s because he is not someone that you can use your 5 senses for, I mean think about it, we trust doctors to tell us what’s wrong with us if we are sick and sometimes almost all of the time they are guessing. Here is another example we will go purchase a car, or apply for a credit card and willingly give our name, dob, address, ss#, to complete strangers and trust that our info would only be used for this purpose. We place our trust in things and people and the one that we can trust to get anything done that we need done we spit in his face and dismiss him as if he is just a common occurrence. I used to be one of those people until I had a true encounter with God, like the one where you are stuck in a mess you made and don’t know how your going to get out of it so the only thing you know to do is pray; it was in that moment that I learned for myself who God truly was. He is everything that he says he is.
I have had to trust God in one of the deepest darkest times of my life when everything around me was dark and the only thing he said to me was “be still and know that I am God” I could not believe that he wanted me to stay in a situation I so desperately wanted nothing to do with. I can remember wrestling with the decision if I would truly trust him or if I would disobey!! Man I’m so glad I decided to trust; trusting made my life so much better. My trust in God did not come over night it took me many many tries and letting go of things that held me bound! I have come to encourage you on today, if you are struggling with truly trusting in God begin to pray and ask him to help you in your unbelief, he will….
