New Age Beverage Corp. leads the way in Monday’s trading
Even though the Dow Industrial Average tanked in Monday’s trading, penny stocks managed to survive most of the fallout.New Age Beverages Corp. (OTCBB: NBEV) rose 20 cents closing at $4.08. Aspen Group Inc (OTCBB:ASPUD) closed in the green at $3.58, up 10 cents. DanDrit Biotech USA Inc (OTCBB:DDRT) closed at $1.01 +0.03 (3.17%). Known as a privately-owned firm based in Denver, Colorado, New Age Beverages has brands in the Ready-to-Drink (RTD) Tea segment and Functional Waters.

According to reports as of late, the company has taken on a new portfolio. This portfolio was created for what they call a “Major North American convenience store operator with more than 3000 stores. ” However, the company failed to report what retailer the partnership was created with. Further investigation has not revealed the company name or brand.
New Beverage Corp. had its highest mark in price earlier this year trading at $4.50 a share. They hover above the $4 mark daily, so the 20-cent spike recently isn’t an increase but a return to the norm. However, they’ve come a long way from November of last year, trading under $2 a share. The jump in price apparently happened in the middle of that same month and flatlined at $4 a share in December 2016. The stock has maintained good ground since then. One reason for this jump could be the the presentation given to interested investors at the 9th annual LD Micro Main Event held in Los Angeles last month.

Along with the Dow Jones drop, The S&P 500 index fell 13.79 points to finish at 2,280.90. The Nasdaq Composite Index lost 47.07 points to close at 5,613.71. This was its worst closing since Dec. 30. New Beverage Corp. led the way in OTCBB price gainers in Monday’s trading. NASDAQ penny stocks were not calculated.
