I was finally able to get a picture of the latest bookmark that I am working on. I’m having to use Mom’s camera to get pictures of things, and that means that I can’t take pictures as often as I would like (hoping for a new camera for my birthday…).
Anyway, this bookmark is from a pattern which in turn is from a book that I’ve had forever (well, at least since I was around ten–I started cross-stitching around age nine, and have amassed quite a few cross-stitch pattern books since then)
This bookmark is titled (in the pattern book) “composers”; because, well, it has the names of composers on it. 😉 So far I have Haydn, Stravinsky, Mozart, and I am starting on Bach.
In the case of Mozart’s name, I made a boo-boo initially and changed the way it’s stitched from the way it is on the pattern. 😉 Sometimes I’m able to do that. Other times, I just completely mess it up. As it was, I had to rip out my stitches a few times before I got it looking the way I was satisfied with.
As I was posting about the bookmark elsewhere (I have a cross stitch Tumblr page where I like to let people know what’s going on with my stitching, as well as Facebook and Twitter) I realized that I stalled as far as advertising what’s in my shops on Etsy and Scott’s Market Place on Pinterest. ;p No sooner do I think that I’m done with something than something else having to do with a task pops up ! 😉
Pretty soon, I am going to get off of the computer and go to the living room and work on this bookmark some more. 🙂
I hope that you are doing well on whatever project you may be working on. ;D
