How long we refuse to keep God’s commandments? Do we remain as stubborn as an ass like the old folks in the time of Jesus? Are you obeying God or man alone?
Exodus: 16:26 Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the Sabbath, in it there shall be none. And it came to pass, that there went out some of the people on the seventh day for to gather, and they found none.
said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws?
This question is also given to us nowadays. How long we refuse to keep God’s commandments and laws. We cannot be saved by obeying the laws but we must do them to show that we love God. We are saved by the grace of God through Jesus Christ. Accept Him as your Personal Savior. We cannot work out for our salvation. We are nothing. Jesus came to die in our stead so that we can have eternal life.
The Almighty God set commandments and laws that His people abide to show that we are children of God. It is like as a citizen of a country. If you are in this country, The Philippines, you are obliged to obey the rules and regulation. Once you disobey a traffic law, you know the next event. We always like to obey the law of the land without changing it or questioning it.
The same with the law of God. We must not change any thing from it that even Jesus said when He was here that any jot or tittle will not be removed. It’s eternal. His laws came from heaven , written by the hand of God.
The Israelites tend to break the law and they had their punishment. The Babylonians and even the Egyptians came to siege their city and bring them as captives in the strange lands. The Jews were scattered everywhere and lost their root. We never understand the world events happened for a reason that only those who have faith and knowledge in the things of God understand.
Choose to whom you obey today: The Word of God or the word of the evil one?
