Nokia 6 to be available in Copper colour variant soon, says company


Nokia on Monday officially announced that the company is all set to bring a new Copper colour variant of the newly launched Nokia 6 very soon. However, the company hasn’t mentioned any further details on the availability timeline of the new Copper colour Nokia 6. At the India launch event, , HMD Global has confirmed that they will bring Nokia 6 Arte Black edition to India in the days to come, but didn’t confirm the availability time frame though.
Nokia 6 was launched in India earlier this month, alongside the Nokia 3 and Nokia 5. The smartphone – Nokia 6 is said to be up for pre-registration starting July 14 and will be available for buying by the end of July and will be an Amazon India-exclusive in India.

Soon after the availability of the original Nokia 6, the Arte Black edition of the device is also expected to available in the country. Ajey Mehta who is vice president for HMD Global India has confirmed to India Today Tech that the Nokia 6 Arte Black edition “will come to India in due course of time.” The Nokia 6 Arte Black edition may be followed by the new Copper colour variant; however, there is no assurance on the availability of the Copper edition yet.
Nokia 6 is the first Android device by the company which comes packed with a 5.5-inch 1080p display and runs on the latest Android Nougat software. HMD Global, that takes care of the manufacturing of the Nokia phones, including the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 has confirmed a few days ago that the smartphone – Nokia 6 will get upgraded to Android O, which Google is expected to roll out later this year. Android O is currently available to beta users.
The smartphone is further powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor which comes coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory which can be further expandable up to 128GB via a micro-SD card slot. The Nokia Android device is further backed by a 3,000mAh battery which comes along with a fast charging capability. In terms of optics, the Nokia 6 sports a 16-megapixel camera at the rear panel, while on the front; the device features an 8-megapixel selfie shooter which is capable of recording 1080p videos.
On the other hand, the Nokia Arte Black edition is expected to come with 4GB of RAM coupled with 64GB of internal memory. This is supposed to be the only difference between the Art Black Nokia 6 and the original one and other specs will remain the same as the original variant of the smartphone.
